HubGuard® PVC Foam 2-Part Securement Dressing
Medline’s HubGuard® PVC Foam 2-Part Securement Dressing provides a soft barrier between the rigid hub and the patient's skin, and is made of an adhesive-backed foam that securely anchors the catheter at the infusion site.
HubGuard enhances stability to reduce the pistoning effect of catheter in veins, reducing catheter migration, dislodgement, and unscheduled IV restarts. It is available in two sizes and recommended for use during arterial, dialysis, implantable, jugular, paediatric, PICC, port and sub-clavian procedures.
Further, the skin stays protected due to the cushion that provides comfort from rigid catheter hubs. In addition, the adhesive is gentle on the skin, thanks to its non-irritating feature, and stays in place for a minimum of 72 hours.
Finally, the securement dressing does not contain any latex to help reduce the risk of allergy, and ensures maximum breathability, aided by 8-mm thick breathable PVC foam.
