Medline’s SorbaView® 2000 Securement Dressing with 1 Closure Piece provides a window dressing available in five dimensions, and is recommended for use during paediatric, arterial and peripheral IV procedures.
SorbaView 2000 creates an occlusive barrier against bacteria, viruses and other contaminants, but not to moisture vapour or other normal gases. This is due to an innovative multi-layer construction. The protective, transparent film dressing keeps the infusion site dry by way of the integrated pad that wicks moisture away.
Additionally, the stability of the catheter is enhanced with the help of the secondary integrated closure piece. The dressing also stays securely in place for long wear times, meeting hospital protocols and conforms and responds to body contours. This is due to the featured non-irritating, non-sensitising and non-cytotoxic medical-grade adhesive, which also facilitates easy application and removal.
Finally, clinicians have continuous site visibility, which is made possible by a transparent window.
