Medline Slovakia Celebrates Grand Opening of New Facility in Partizánske

Medline’s brand new manufacturing facility in the Malé Bielice industrial park in Partizánske, Slovakia, is officially open and production is underway! Construction began in 2020 on this 21,000 m² facility to support the company’s long-term expansion plans, increase our European footprint, expand sales into Eastern Europe and better address our customers’ needs by producing more products and solutions.

To celebrate the successful completion of this monumental project, Medline hosted a Grand Opening Ceremony on 24 May. The event included speeches from Medline representatives and the Mayor of Partizánske, as well as an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. In addition, tours of the new facility were offered, and the press was given an opportunity to ask questions. Light h'ordeuvres were also offered to give everyone the chance to celebrate together.

In his opening speech for the event, Herve Million, Vice President Product Divisions Europe, shared his thoughts on the project: ‘In 2015, we made the right choice to start up operations in Slovakia, in addition to our existing facility in France. We have gone from 500 m² of clean room space to 3,000 m² today, with plans and enough land to expand even more in the future. Medline is happy to be part of the Partizánske community, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our employees who moved from our old plant to this one, the team who made this project a success, and the city and local community for their support. This project is an investment in our growth and will help further develop sales in Eastern Europe. Congratulations to everyone involved!’

This project represents an investment of €24 million, and will generate about 300 new jobs in the local community in addition to the 200 people already employed.
