Saline Flush Syringe with SwabCap®

Medline’s Saline Flush Syringe with SwabCap® is a pre-filled type of syringe that minimises the risk of catheter occlusion and medication mixing, through the flushing of IV catheters and tubing.

To enhance workflow and save your team time, the injection syringe comes filled with a saline solution that is clearly marked on the product to prevent medication errors. In addition, to help reduce the risk of allergic reactions that could cause complications, the sterile solution is preservative-free, and the pre-filled syringe is latex- and DEHP-free.

The design of the flush syringe brings extra protection to needleless IV connectors, which can be a source of central line-associated bloodstream infections. To reduce this risk, the syringe integrates a disinfection cap (SwabCap®) for attaching directly to the access valve. This acts as a physical barrier to touch and airborne contamination between line accesses. In addition, the SwabCap® helps with promoting and standardising good practices within your facility, and complies with disinfection protocols.

To meet wide-ranging catheter flushing-related needs, the 10-ml syringe is available with three saline volume options; 3 ml, 5 ml and 10 ml.

The Saline Flush Syringe with SwabCap® is part of our vascular access portfolio, which also integrates securement dressings for IV-related procedures.
